August is almost everyone else in my family’s birthday – dad, mum, mum-in-law – so expect celebrate-y pics on the blog over the coming weeks. First up was dad this last Thursday, with a public holiday the day before so we got to spend some time with him.

The irony – in my last post I mentioned Husband was done being Marvin, but he went on to work all weekend and late most of this week – it’s now been 17 days straight! At least we’ve finally reached the weekend, and both have an extra few days off thereafter. Here are a few of our favourite moments from this very busy week…
Friday, 21 July 2017: Celebratory dinner at Moyo
Saturday, 22 July 2017: Early morning doggie moments

Tuesday, 25 July 2017: Meet my fox dog
Wednesday, 26 July 2017: Cannes Lions Cape Town and Stepbrothers’ team lunch
Thursday, 27 July 2017: Impressive office birthday cakes
That’s all, folks! Time to unplug, unwind and destress.
What a busy week it’s been! In addition to Cannes Lions’ week of advertising awards kicking off with a bang, it was Father’s Day last weekend, Husband’s turn to be Marvin again and last Friday was a public holiday so that meant doing five days of work in four – make that 3.25, as Thursday was also our office teambuilding day, which we spent swinging through the trees of Constantia. I’ll explain in pictures, so you can see exactly what I mean…
Thursday, 15 June 2017: Teambuilding at Acrobranch Constantia and Eagle’s Nest Wines
Friday, 16 June 2017: Youth Day French toast and Saint’s Winter menu
Saturday, 17 June 2017: Petiscos family brunch and Cannes Lions 2017 begins
Sunday, 18 June 2017: Father’s Day breakfast at Stacked Diner, high tea at Mum’s
Work week coffee treats during all hours of Cannes Lions work
That’s all, folks! Cannes Lions comes to an end on Saturday evening and Husband is working all of this coming weekend, so wish us luck!
Woohoo, tis a long weekend ahead! Husband worked all of last weekend and I’ve been at it ever since, so we’re looking forward to finally spending a bit of time together, Not that we were like ships in the night, exactly, as you’ll see below. But first…
Saturday, 22 April 2017: Handle-less coffees at Hemelhuijs and Zip Zap Circus sunshine
Sunday, 23 April 2017: Work kitties and FroZenYo waffle churros
Wednesday, 26 April 2017: Chocolate tartlet
Thursday, 27 April 2017: Freedom Day French toast
That’s all, folks! Here’s hoping for a happy weekend for each of you. 🙂
*Disclaimer: Obviously our Zip Zap Circus tickets were part of our review package. All else came from our own pockets. All enjoyed equally.
It’s been another longgg week with Husband playing the role of Marvin (click here if you’re not sure what that means).
We’ve finally had a fair sprinkling of rain though, and the weather’s definitely nippier than usual so I think it’s fair to say that Autumn 2017 has arrived in Cape Town. If you click through to my blog post from this week last year I said the exact same thing, so at least I’m consistent)…
Friday, 17 March 2017: Work farewell at Fat Cactus
Saturday, 18 March 2017: Autumnal Chocolat breakfast, doggy beach walk and local rugby supporting
Sunday, 19 March 2017: Pineapple-y Sunday
Monday, 20 and Tuesday, 21 March 2017: Husband’s parents arrive
Thursday, 23 March 2017: Sea Point event, annual staff meet and Fat Cactus lunch
That’s all, folks. We’ll be helping the parents unpack and also having a few days off work before my next update, so expect happier, more relaxed faces then. 🙂
Husband was nicknamed ‘Marvin’ this past week (he was on the night shift at work). I worked from home for a few days so we could see each other but we were much like ships passing in the night. Luckily he’s off this coming week so can recover and reset our internal clocks. It wasn’t all “work work work” though (sorry if you clicked through to those links and now have two earworms running through your head), we did have a few fun moments, too…
Saturday, 4 February 2017: The Hart Bakery and Melkbos beach visit
Sunday, 5 February 2017: Woolworths Cafe meals and Captain’s Kitchen drinks
Thursday, 9 February 2017: Work meet at M&C Saatchi Abel CT
